In this project we sought to explore Art Deco ideals in a contemporary manner with focus on functional ornament. This tower would use the structural qualities of Cross-Laminated Timber and the reflectivity of copper building upon the formal qualities and the health benefits of the palazzo. However, this palazzo is perforated at three levels allowing light to penetrate and reflect throughout the building, as well as creating airways for natural ventilation.

This was the final project of the Spring 2020 semester, with education everywhere disrupted by the novel coronavirus. This project was developed and presented entirely in the remote learning environment, part of this being the creation of a post for the studio's social media feed.  I've chosen to present this project in that format here.
